SUN AUG 10 ... $27.20 TOP WINNER AT SARATOGA and $34.20 TOP WINNER AT DEL MAR. Very strange day at Saratoga. Either I had the winner or was not even close. Luck was the name of the $27.20 winner in the 5th race. Had the 7th race exacta cold paying $76.00. My other top winner came in the 9th paying $2.90. Extravagant was the $34.20 top winner in the 2nd at Del Mar and had the exacta paying $59.10. Had the 3rd race triple reversed paying $34.00 and the Double paid $164.20. My top pick won the 5th ($6.40) then my third choice won the 6th ($8.60), 7th ($8.00) and 8th ($5.60). Had the 7th race triple in reverse order paying $169.20. My second choice won the 9th paying $3.20.

MON AUG 11 ... $362.00 exacta (reversed) in the 7th race at Saratoga. My top two picks were just a hair apart in that 7th race with my second choice winning and paying $37.20. I don't list all the exactas my tout sheet hits as I concentrate on Doubles and Pick 3's but that was a very nice exacta. My top pick won the 8th race paying $6.30 and the Double paid $197.00. My third choice won the 9th race ($16.20) and the Pick 3 paid $703.50. My top pick won the first race ($3.80) then my second choice won the 2nd ($11.20) and the Double paid $39.20. Del Mar had one top winner in the 1st paying $6.00 then my second choice won the 2nd with the Double paying $13.60. My second choices hit the late Double paying $28.80.

WED AUG 13 ... Big surprise learning there would be no turf racing this sunny day at Saratoga. Managed two top winners coming in the 1st ($4.40) with the cold exacta paying $41.00 and the 8th race paying $3.80. My third choice won the 3rd paying $22.00. Del Mar had one top winner coming in the 3rd paying $4.80. My second choice won the 1st ($14.40) and the 7th ($7.40). I layed low with my wagering this day and hope you did as well.

THU AUG 14 ... Very rare day when my top picks got shutout at both tracks. Had two second choice winners at Saratoga coming in the 3rd ($3.90) and the 5th ($7.00). Looks like at least one more day off the turf and I can't wait till turf racing resumes. Four second choice winners at Del Mar resulting in two Doubles hit. My second choices hit the Double for races 3-4 paying $11.20 and for races 6-7 paying $68.00.

FRI AUG 15 ... $149.00 and $35.80 Pick 3's hit at Del Mar using my top two selections in races 1 thru 4. My second choice won the the 1st race paying $22.40 (my 3 picks made up the triple $358.20 for a $1). My second choice won the 2nd race paying $7.80 and the Double paid $105.20. My top pick won the 3rd ($6.60, Double $39.80) and the 4th ($3.80, Double $14.20). My top pick won the 7th paying $4.20. Saratoga had two top winners coming in the 3rd ($4.50) and the 9th ($12.40). My second choice won the 1st ($7.30), 5th ($2.90) and 7th ($5.10).

SAT AUG 16 ... $24.80 TOP WINNER, Go Flags Bro, in the 5th at Del Mar and $114.20 Double with my second choice winning the 4th race paying $6.20. My top pick won the 9th paying $4.80. At Saratoga my third choice won the 2nd paying $16.20. My top pick won the 3rd paying $7.40 (cold ex $30.60). My three picks in the 4th hit the triple paying $154.50 with my third choice winning. My second choice won the 7th paying $4.90. Had the 9th race exacta cold paying $7.90 as Proud Spell took care of the heavily favored entry of Music Note and Little Belle.

SUN AUG 17 ... $59.20 Double at Del Mar was the highlight of this tough day. My second choice won the 2nd at Del Mar paying $11.80 then my top pick won the 3rd paying $8.80. My second choice won the 5th paying $10.80 and the 9th paying $8.40. My third choice won the 6th paying $25.60 (Double $141.80). Saratoga managed just two second choice winners coming in the 4th ($4.80) and 5th ($5.00) and the Double paid $13.00.

MON AUG 18 ... $24.00 TOP WINNER was one FOUR TOP WINNERS AT DEL MAR coming in the 1st ($5.00), 4th ($8.80), 6th ($24.00) and 7th ($3.60) with the COLD Double paying $44.40. My third choice won the 2nd ($4.00) and 5th ($3.00) giving the opportunity to hit some Pick 3's. Saratoga had three top winners, coming in the 1st ($7.30), 2nd ($7.30 COLD Double $28.60), and the 9th ($2.70). My third choice won the 3rd ($7.80) and the 10th ($6.30). My second choice won the 4th ($9.90).

THU AUG 21 ... Three top winners and one second choice won at Saratoga. My top pick won the 2nd paying $7.60 and had the exacta cold paying $125.00. My second choice won the 3rd paying $4.10 and the Double paid $17.80. My top pick won the 6th paying $13.00 and had the exacta cold paying $60.00. My top pick won the 8th paying $3.70. Del Mar had two top winners and two second choice winners. My second choice won the 1st paying $5.60 then my top pick won the 2nd paying $6.60 and the Double paid $16.60. My second choice won the 3rd paying $15.40 with the Double paying $70.00 and the Pick 3 $80.60. My top choice won the 4th ($3.80) and the Double paid $26.60 and the Pick 3 $76.40.

WED AUG 20 ... Three top winners and two second choices won at Saratoga. My second choice won the 2nd paying $14.40. My top pick won the 3rd ($7.70 Double $44.60) and the 4th ($4.90 Double $16.60, Pick 3 $55.50). My third choice won the 5th ($14.80 Pick 3 $55.50) and the 6th ($6.90 Pick 3 $39.50). My top pick won the 8th ($3.40) and my second choice won the 10th ($15.20) and had the 10th race exacta reversed paying $171.00. My top picks got shutout at Del Mar but four second choices won. They came in the 2nd ($5.40), 3rd ($5.20 Double $17.00), 6th ($4.00) and 7th ($4.80 Double $7.80).

FRI AUG 22 ... $176.50 PICK 3 hit in the first three races at Del Mar using my top two selections. My second choice won the 1st paying $20.60 then my top pick won the 2nd paying $7.40 with the Double paying $73.40. My second choice won the 3rd paying $10.00 and the Double paid $43.40 and of course that nice Pick 3. My third choice won the 4th paying $6.20. Had the 8th race exacta reveresed paying $27.10 and the winner paid $18.40. My top pick won the 8th paying $24.00 and had the exacta cold paying $33.20 for a $1. Saratoga also ended on a high note with a cold $176.00 exacta and had the late Double cold paying $17.00. Had the 3rd race exacta cold paying $13.40 and the triple paying $67.00. My second choice won both the 5th ($4.40) and 6th ($6.00) with the Double paying $13.20.

SAT AUG 23 ... SALUTE THE COLONEL....Colonel John got it done in the Travers as my top choice paying $10.40. Was a wild day at the Spa with bombs galore. Sadly I did not tout any of those bombs but did manage a nice $63.00 Double when Rogue Victory won the 5th ($9.50) as my top pick then Big Stick won the 6th ($11.80) as my second choice and had that exacta reversed paying $60.50. At Del Mar I began with my second choice winning the first paying $22.20. My top pick won the 3rd ($5.60) and the 5th ($6.20). My third choice won the 4th ($12.40) giving the shot at a couple Doubles and a Pick 3. Spring House was much the best in the 8th paying $3.40 as my second choice.

SUN AUG 24 ... NAILED GO BETWEEN as the winner of the Pacific Classic at Del Mar paying $7.60. Otherwise was a tough day at Del Mar with my second choice winning the 6th ($7.80) and the 9th ($6.00). Saratoga had one top winner and four second choice winners. Top winner came in the 9th paying $9.80. My second choice won the 3rd ($7.40), 6th ($9.40), 7th ($9.30 Double $51.00) and 11th ($7.00).

MON AUG 25 ... Unfortunately there will be days like this one. Saratoga had many favorites win that I did not like. Only managed my second choice winning the 3rd paying $4.10. At Del Mar my second choice won the 2nd ($10.20) then my top pick won the 3rd paying $10.40 and the Double paid $58.40. My second choice won the 7th paying $3.20.

WED AUG 27 ... $36.30 Pick 3 hit at Del Mar. My top pick won the 6th ($5.20) and the 7th ($9.80) with the Double paying $33.80. My second choice won the 8th ($5.00) with the Double paying $28.00 and the nice Pick 3. One other top winner came in the 1st paying $4.20. My third choice won the 3rd ($31.00) and the 4th ($17.80) and that Double came back very short at $140.20. My top picks remain cold at Saratoga but had four of my second choices win. They came in the 2nd ($4.40), 5th ($8.40), 6th ($3.50 Double $15.60) and the 7th ($5.70) with the Double paying $15.00 and the Pick 3 $21.00 for a $1. My third choice won the 9th paying $16.60.
